Fundraising Event
La Mirada Banquet Ballroom

As the true magnitude
of the overwhelming disaster left by the Asian tsunami still on the map, people
continue to organize fund raising events to help contain the affect providing
aid at their disposal. It has been said, it is never too late for helping
hands to reach out and help reduce the suffering of human kind.
With 150,000 people confirmed dead and millions more are homeless, the task
of rebuilding after the tsunami is enormous and unfortunately a lengthy process
and many people and organizations continue to make great efforts to raise
funds help the victims as every contribution counts.
Friends and family of Orange County has stepped ahead inviting the local community
regardless of race, religions and social setup to come join hands and pull
the affected people from disaster left by waters. They called the event “Music
of Hope”, a hope rooted with music to stimulate the spirit of hearts
and reaching out people looking for at least a “beat” to start
with. Those are the people lost every belongings and the only thing they left
with is the hope of being helped.
The event was organized at La Mirada Banquet Ballroom, La Mirada, CA. March
the 12th, 2005. Musical band “Kashish” infinity helped put the
music into the air along with Sarika, a local gazal singer. Sakhi Kamal from
Fifty Fifty TV show also amused the audiences with his jokes and mimicry.
Dinner was served by Noorani Restaurant on a very discounted price hence contributed
the cause.
All the funds collected through the event will be forwarded to the Tsunami
Disaster Relief Program via Focus Humanitarian Assistance USA. Though tsunami
fund will be needed in the future as thousands have been thrust into poverty

Terrace Lane, # C, Anaheim, CA 92807. Make the check payable to FOCUS USA,
a registered organization. All contributions are tax deductible.
Event was made possible through the effort of Ms. Nusrat Sheikh, Mr. Pyarali
Hashim, Mr. Karim Sultan, Mr. Munir Dhalla, and Ms. Zeenat Fadwani. We all
congratulate the organizers to reach out providing relief and help rehabilitation
to those hit hardest by the tsunami.
