Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Celebration

By the end of the evening, there were nothing but ten bare fingers, small or big, soft or strong, high above by the shoulders with forehead bowed to the only God revealing the story of the event. That evening was not an ordinary evening in the city of Cerritos, California.

That charismatic night was the conscience of Anjuman Azmat-e-Mustafa (saws), Riverside, California, observed at Cerritos Part East Community Centre, June 13th, 2004. Highlight of the evening was to discover the spiritual dimensions of Prophet Mohammad (saws), different aspect of his versatile character, and above all the message he brought from all Mighty for the humanity.

The event, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Celebration, attended by the people-at-large all over the city and was stunningly arranged in the beautiful hall at Cerritos Community Centre. Mohamed Iqbal Ibrahim of Anjuman Azmat-e-Mustafa has the honor for all the arrangement from the hall to the complimentary dinner enjoyed by the audience at the end of the night.

The blessed evening was hosted by Mr. Mohammed Anwar, a renowned figure of Southern California. Mr. Sheikh Sadullah Khan (Director of Islamic Center of Irvine) and Dr. Hassanuddin Hashmi (Chairman of Momin Lodge) were honored as the Guest Speaker of the evening. Local Naat readers included Mr. Qamruddin, Mr. Syed Abuzar, Master. Abdul Ghaffar Anwar, Ms. Muneeza Rajput, Ms. Sitwat, Mr. Hussain Kaka Burmy, Ms. Naghmana Sohail, Mr. Hafeezur Rehman, Mr. Shafiq Ahmed, Mr. Irfan Murtaza, Mr. Ghulam Farooq Rehmani, Mr. Imam Ali Siddique, Mr. Arif Imam, Ms. Maher Alvi and Ms. Hameeda.

The audiences were enthralled by the enchanting speech of the speakers throughout the night with detailed and subtle life story of Prophet Mohammad (saws). The audiences were gifted with the facts how the life begun and led by the Prophet to prove that he is the messenger of God and had all the qualities to be one. How he was born, his childhood, his teenage period, as an adult, as a husband, as a businessman, as a neighbor, as a fellow human being, as a friend, as a leader, were different facets of his life audience get to know him through the life time knowledge and reading of respected speakers.

It was a night one has to be there if wants to be close to God, and knowing the Prophet Mohammad (saws) is the way to God and to Heaven. The event was a complete success and the audience found the night short to cover all the aspects of his life. But, we do hope that Anjuman Azmat-e-Mustafa will provide this honor again to be blessed by such an evening.
